"Kimono 1" is the first of twelve collages in a series that I have just finished. Each is made up of my original paintings that were cut and reassembled to the shape of a kimono. They are mounted on cradled board and ready to hang unframed. Each is distinctive. I will post another tomorrow.
My first awareness of artists producing KIMONO series was a few years ago when I saw the small works of artist Harold Garde from Belfast Maine. He is a true abstract expressionist and an inspiration to this aging artist.
