"Girl in Caftan" is just off the easel. I find painting Saturday while listening to the weekly opera is perfect! Since I have been varnishing the 12 Kimonos and still thinking about these garments, I decided to combine my love of drawing figures with the garment. Probably was also influenced by the Klimt painting that was the calendar page yesterday from a lovely book "A Year in Art" that I just received from a friend. Or maybe also wondering when "Woman in Gold" is coming to the local movie theatre. Something....
This is an acrylic painting on cradled board, ready to hang. It is 14x11.
